It seems like one of those boards thats better than camber for sure but more for the rider that knows how to plane well, keep their speed and really own a powder day even with a camber board. The Optimistic 2016 and Standard 2017 have the same directional volume twin shape and same camber profile so I can vouch for the Standard. We have had many days on the Jones Mountain Twin in Powder and it does a good job acting like a more directional powder board when you set it back. The turning is like butter, the speed isnt like the capita and about the same as the Process if not a little faster. Ive found that carving is better with the Twin when you set back the stance so its centered over the set back camber so if you dont ride switch much set it back a bit. Conditions:Pretty much everything from 2+ feet of powder to ice. In the smaller sizes, it works well with under size 10 boots but again the stance width options are limited and on the narrow side. We didnt ride 2020 Jones Mountain Twin but other than a change to a more eco-friendly resin and a slightly updated core its the same ride as before. its a ride that allows you to get a camber feel that allows you to go big with less consequence and floats better in powder.
